Life Story / Obituary


Ms. Heather Neuman, age 44, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019. She was born in Muskegon, MI on January 5, 1975 to Richard & Cathey (Pfhistner) Overheul. Heather graduated from Orchard View High School and went on to play basketball at Western Michigan University. Ms. Neuman had been employed as a Care Giver, Personal Aide and CNA for CarePlus Home Health Care. Heather loved both people and animals. She was especially passionate about her cats. She worked tirelessly to advocate for hurt and homeless animals. She volunteered at Brownstown Animal Shelter, Animal Network and Muskegon County Animal Shelter by helping raise awareness, promote fund raisers and spend time with animals in need of love. Heather spent a significant amount of her time and energy caring for people who needed a friend or physical assistance. She looked especially amazing in pink, enjoyed collecting candles and fragrances, bowling and golf.


Mother, Cathey Pfhistner; siblings, Jon (Melissa) Overheul, Richard Benjamin Overheul, Nicole Johnson; niece, Millie Martinez; nephews, Evan Overheul, Zakary Overheul; grandmother, Dorothy Pfhistner; uncles, Jeff (Maren) Pfhistner, Harry (Tanya) Overheul, David (Valarie) Overheul, Tom (Marlene) Overheul. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Overheul, her grandfather, Herman Pfhistner and stepfather, Ken Krannitz.


Thursday, April 25, 2019, 2:00 PM at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon with Pastor Carlos Ramos officiating.
