Dorothy Rein of Robinson Township, died Monday, April 23, 2018. She was born February 18, 1931 in Stoneham, NH to the late Leon and Jessie (MacIntosh) Sturtevant. She married Edward Rein in Seabrook, NH on May 14, 1950. Mrs. Rein was a graduate of Roslindale High School in Boston, MA. Before moving to Michigan in 1979, she worked for a weekly newspaper for 10 years in NH. She was an Avon Representative for 17 years. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, where she served as an usher, a Pastoral Caller and a member of St. Cecelia Choir. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, calling on shut-ins and spending winters in Tennessee. She was an avid animal lover.
Survivors include her husband, Edward; two daughters, Joyce at home and Lisa Pollard of Somersworth, NH; two sons, Jeffrey of New Orleans, LA and Gregory of Hanson, MA; five grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Austin, Jordyn and Evan Pollard. Her only brother, Walter died in 1992 and her sisters, Helen in 2009, Gertrude Ross in 2012, Flora Tozier in 2014 and sister-in-law, Betty Ann Fisher in 2011.
According to her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be scattered by her son Gregory in her favorite lake in NH along with the ashes of her beloved dogs, "Friday", Scout, Cubby, Tetley and Tia. MEMORIAL: Donations to any animal organization will be greatly appreciated.
