Mr. Darien Clark Cummins, age 80, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019. He was born in Fruitport, MI on October 14, 1938 to Nathan & Lucille (Scott) Cummins and served his country in the US Army. He married the former Raye Gillespie on July 6, 1960 and after her unexpected death met and married Karen Towne on October 8, 2011. Mr. Cummins had been employed as a Machinist, Inspector & Union Stewart for L3 Technologies for 30 years until retiring. Darien was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and enjoyed working on cars, meeting people, socializing and spending time with his grandchildren.

SURVIVORS

Wife, Karen; children, Vance (Lisa) Cummins, Jeffery (Lori) Ellison; grandchildren, Chet Ellison, Stanalee Ellison, Kimberly Kintgen, Joe Cummins, Anita Beth Apol; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Anita (Bill) Jeannet, Renata (Bob) Miller. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Raye; parents; brothers, Kenneth, Nathan Jr., Ronald, Donald; sisters, Dorraine, Delores & Renalda.

SERVICE

Monday, April 22, 2019, 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at Trinity Baptist Church and Pastor Scott Church officiating. Interment in Fruitport Cemetery.
