Mr. Anthony Joseph Gajdos , age 71, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017. He was born in New York, New York on February 23, 1946 to Anthony & Eunice (Olsen) Gajdos. As a child the family moved to the Grand Haven area. Tony served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force from 1965-1968 which included a yearlong deployment to North Africa. He was involved in metallurgy in an aerospace program in California. He was a retired metal processing specialist engineering technician. Tony was a member of St. Patrick's & St. Anthony's in Grand Haven, and also a part of Four Pointes Build it Fly it club. Tony was very energy and environmentally conscious, a strong advocate for alternative energy, considered overly generous and loved spending time with family. Tony Gajdos spent a lifetime accumulating skills and knowledge and loved nothing more than to pass it on so that others were informed.

Gajdos, Tammie (Kyle) Denboer; grandchildren, Wes (Megan) Zufelt, Holly Austin, Derek R. Gajdos, Alex Gajdos, Bobby B. Austin, Zach Gajdos, Danica Denboer, Levi Denboer; sisters, Judy (John) Marecek, Janice Leeson, Amy (Bruce) Cleveland; brother, Charles (Shirley) Blackmer; several nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by sons, SPC Shawn D. Gajdos, Robert "Bobby" W. Austin; brothers, Ted (Rachael) Blackmer & Michael Blackmer.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
