Life Story / Obituary

Mr. Anthony Andrew “Tony” Sidock, age 59, loving husband and faithful friend passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 at home peacefully in the arms of his husband after a long illness. Tony was born on June 25, 1959 in Muskegon, Michigan to Joseph J. and Catherine A. (White) Sidock. Tony worked as a Tax Consultant for many years in Muskegon, as well as, Chicago. His devotion to his clients brought him many friendships which he spoke of often. He enjoyed gardening, spending countless hours in his yard, feeding every stray animal that came into his yard and at times actually encouraged them to come. He also loved photography.

Tony was the kindest most selfless man you would ever meet. He would give you the shirt off his back and more. His love for everyone was unconditional and he loved you with all his heart.

Tony will mostly be remembered for his fierce loyalty and love for his husband, Tommy, who after 18 years together were married on August 18, 2018 and remained by his side 24/7 caring for him through the many months of his illness. Tony always wanted to make sure that Tommy was taken care of. Special thanks for the endless support and love from very dear friends, Sheila Porter, Suzy Weiss and Matt and Sandy DePouw. Even in his final days Tony relied on them to make sure Tommy would be okay after he was gone.

He is survived by his loving and devoted husband, Thomas J. Lalonde: brother, Robert (Barb) Sidock of Muskegon; sisters, Laura (Clifford) Boone of Maryland and N. Lea Huls of Grandville; nieces, Stacy (Alexia) Sidock, Valerie Sidock; nephews, Peter, Paul, and Jason Sidock, Jonathan and Michael Huls, Steven Small and many cousins and great nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents along with his brother, Nicholas J Sidock and sister, Rose Ann Sidock.

There will be a celebration of Tony's life on Saturday March 9th 2019 from 2-5 PM at the Lakeside Vets Club. 1777 Lakeshore drive Muskegon Michigan 49441.
