Margaret N. Lux, age 93, was called home to be with our Lord and her deceased loved ones on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Although this lovely lady was known by most as Margaret, her given birth name was actually Nishime Margaret. She was born in Baraga, Michigan and was brought into this world by a native Indian doctor who asked permission to name her. She was the youngest of 7 children and her Indian name Nishime, means "Little Baby Sister". She retired in 1983 after 41 years employment at Teledyne Continental Motors. During that time she was also active with the UAW local 113 and the Democratic Party. When Hospice was established in Muskegon, Margaret was one of the initial volunteers and continued to compassionately serve them for 25 years. She was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and of the Masonic Temple Eastern Star until their demise. As of late, Margaret attended the First Christian Church but most dear to her heart was her primary church, Community of Christ. Margaret was a caring and extremely hard working, super-energetic person. She was an ambitious gardener which provided her much joy, an avid Detroit Tigers fan and an occasional visit to the casino was also a pleasure. She was a gal with the MOST impressive blue eyes. Margaret knew earth would pass away. Heaven is now her home and the Heavens have become brighter with the arriving light of Nishime Margaret Lux.
