Mr. John William Bloomstrom, age 90, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on April 23, 1927 to Carl & Emily (Johnson) Bloomstrom and served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He married the former Onalee Armstrong on November 1, 1947. Mr. Bloomstrom had been employed as a Quality Superintendent for S. D. Warren for 38 years until retiring. John was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church, VFW William J Beal Post #446 and Lakeside Eagles 3306. He volunteered at the Muskegon Heritage Museum and International Aid and was involved with Junior Achievement.

SURVIVORS

Wife, Onalee; son, Jerry (Kimberly) Bloomstrom of AK; daughters, Suzanne (James) Stark of Cadillac; Julie (Raymond) Cvengros of AL, Sheri (Brad) Kinning of MI; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Marie (Larry) Jager of Montague. He was preceded in death by his son, John Carl and sister, Doris Bloomstrom.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

Saturday, March 31, 2018, 1:00 pm with visitation 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service at Lakeside Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. James Stark officiating and Military Honors under the Auspices of the Muskegon County Council of Veterans. MEMORIAL: Lakeside Baptist Church or Harbor Hospice Foundation.
