Life Story / Obituary

Mr. Jason Earl Mitchell, age 37, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016. He was born on September 22, 1979, 3 minutes after his twin brother Jeremy to Donald & Camille (Rollins) Mitchell and graduated from Fruitport High School and attended Baker College. Mr. Mitchell had been employed by Kandu and Goodwill for many years, was a member of the Muskegon Waves and enjoyed Nascar and sports. Family was most important to Jason and he was an inspiration to everyone he met. He faced more life issues in 37 years than most people his age but he lived his life to the fullest. Jason knew no limits, no fear and if he wanted to do something, he found a way. His strength was immeasurable. There was a quality about Jason that is not described in a few words, but the most meaningful is love! Jason taught all who knew him how to face adversity and through it all, life, pain and happiness - he smiled. "No one said it would be easy - but it was worth it!"

Jason is survived by his loving mother and greatest friend, Camille (Mike Robison) Mitchell & father, Donald Mitchell; twin brother, Jeremy (Melissa) Mitchell and their children, Aaron, Tylor, Cameron, Jordan & his name sake, Jayson; sister, Angela (David) Ross and their children, David & Hunter; he is loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends & special in his heart, Rick & Reta Benham and their children, Ricky, Donita & Jesse. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Janet (Rollins) Chandler, Earl Rollins, Jeanette & Glenn Frazine, George Chandler.
