Catherine Susan (Joyner) Demilio, age 60 of North Muskegon and formerly Spring Lake passed away unexpectedly Friday April 21, 2017. The oldest of 8 children, Cathy was born July 18, 1956, in Johnson City, New York to Fredrick and Lorraine Joyner. She married James Demilio June 28, 1982 in Windsor, NY and shortly after moved to the Grand Haven area to be near the beautiful lakefront which Jim fell in love with during his assignment in the Coast Guard on the cutter Raritan. A tireless worker, Cathy started Spotless Cleaning Service shortly after arriving in this area and spent many seasons cleaning boats and vacation homes along the lakeshore and after 30 years she still had one of her original cleaning clients. In addition to her cleaning business Cathy worked many years at Grand Transformers and Harness Electronics in Grand Haven and for over 20 years at Busche/Shipton/Alcoa/Noreen in Fruitport as a level II NDT inspector. When not working Cathy could be found on one of her boats plying the local bayous, lakes or rivers fishing for whatever would bite. Blue Lake was one of her favorites. Also an avid hunter she spent many years, with Jim, in the field in search of deer, ducks or geese. Her indoor activities included attending services at many local churches, computer games, bingo, mexican food at the TIP A FEW, hanging out at the Grand Haven and Whitehall Eagles and there weren’t many casino’s from Michigan to New York whose doors she had not passed through.
