Life Story / Obituary
Mrs. Beverly Mae Batten, age 93, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on June 4, 1924 to Rudolph & Dora (VanDyke) Ortquist and married Ray Batten on September 6, 1946. Mrs. Batten had been employed as a Assistant Vice President of Personnel for Muskegon Bank & Trust/First of America Bank for over 30 years until retiring. Beverly was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church and Vikings Lodge. She enjoyed camping in Pentwater, bowling, crossword puzzles, cooking and game shows.
SURVIVORS
Daughter, Dianne (Edward) Taylor of Fruitport, MI; son-in-law, Ken (Kay) Mack of Manton, MI; grandchildren Steve (Tammy) Mack, Stacy (David) Walston, Eric Taylor and Shelby Mack; great grandchildren, Cory Mack, Caitlyn Walston, David Walston, Belle Walston, Madison Walston, Stephanie DeVries & Mackenna DeVries; 3 great great grandchildren; sister, Norma (Dennis) Suchecki; sister-in-law, Marva Ortquist; special friends, Ione Keur & Bonnie VanderVelde; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray in 2005 and daughter, Pamela Mack in 1983.
SERVICE
Friday, September 29, 2017, 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Clock Chapel - Muskegon. Interment in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIAL: Samuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or Linne Lodge #57 Viking Scholarship Fund.
