Mrs. Angeline McKinley, age 98, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI on July 6, 1917 to John & Angie (Razenberg) VanderRoest and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and received her teaching degree from Western Michigan University. She met Robert McKinley at Western and they were married on April 25, 1941. Mrs. McKinley taught physical education in the Muskegon Public Schools and then retired from Maple Grove Junior High in 1970. Robert took a job at HON Industries so he and Angeline moved to Muscatine IA until he retired. In 1982 they returned to the Muskegon area residing in Norton Shores. Angeline was an active member of First Congregational Church UCC and P.E.O. She volunteered at the YWCA in Muscatine IA & Muskegon and Hackley Hospital. She will be greatly missed.
Sons, Robert B. McKinley of Ann Arbor MI, John R. (Mary) McKinley of Venice FL; grandchildren, John (Suzanne) McKinley, Laura (Jason) Rop, Angela (Duffey) Pelton, R. James (Jenna) McKinley; great grandchildren, Kendall, Mara, Madelyn, Finnegan, Juniper & Duffey Jr.; sister, Arlene Apol of Grand Haven. She was preceded in death by husband Robert in 2001; granddaughter, Susan; sisters, Johanna, Gertrude, & Jeanette.
